Dirk Bach, the 51-year-old prominent German presenter and comedic actor, has died on account of unidentified medical causes. Dirk Bach had tickled the ribs of countless TV viewers for over 20 years through his hilarious hosting of the German version of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
As per Berlin’s Schlosspark Theatre, Bach was detected in a dead state at his Berlin flat. Efforts to revivify him at the scene itself led to failure, as per a report in the online edition of ‘Bild’.
The Schlosspark Theatre was the arena, in which Dirk Bach was scheduled to enact the title role in ‘The Little King December’ commencing on Thursday. The Theatre, with which the Late German comedian had a friendly association, has expressed its profound sadness and disbelief due to his death. Bach has been referred to by the Theatre as a loveable colleague with enthusiasm for life.
A Berlin police spokesman has voiced there were no preliminary indications of foul play.
Dirk Bach, who managed to generate volleys of laughter in viewers with his striking comicality, was renowned in recent years for his role as presenter of ‘Ich bin ein Star – Holt mich hier raus!’, which is the German equivalent of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’. In this popular reality programme, eminent celebrities implement weird activities and challenges on a detached island.
The joyous personality of Dirk Bach and his attention-grabbing attires gave him plentiful media focus as well as affection of the people. Dirk Bach, whose birthplace was Cologne, was exposed to the world of performing arts from a young age as his parents worked for radio.
